Hunger Action Month

Feeding America and NSA Brands believe that food shouldn’t be an impossible choice. Unfortunately, for many facing hunger, a meal may mean choosing between food and other critical needs. Friends and neighbors who have already been working to overcome the hardships brought on by the pandemic, now face a 10% price increase to buy groceries. When difficulties hit, food can be the first thing people forego in order to continue to pay for gas, utilities, childcare or medication.
At SecurCare, we’ve partnered with Feeding America to help provide 1.5 million meals* to individuals facing food insecurity in 2022. Because people working together is what makes a real difference in the lives of those experiencing food insecurity.
Whether you donate or volunteer at your local foodbank, share posts on social media (#HungerActionMonth, #HungerActionDay), or wear orange (the color of hunger relief) throughout the month of September to spread awareness; all positive steps in the fight against hunger can make a difference.
