Getting a unit was so ez got on line found one close by an in 5 min I was given my access code a unit number. Also for the difference of just a few dollars I’ve gotten a bigger unit longer hours. It would be nice for all storage units to provide cold water. They make enough on these units to spare a couple extra bucks for their customers that’s for every storage company..

I need a place to store my sister's things after she passed away. I live far but found this storage by where my sister rented a house. The young lady in there by the name of Brenda was very understanding to our needs and my husband got the perfect sized storage box to store my sister's things for now. I wish the storage operators at public storage i go to in Ventura where this nice

I took my business here because a different local storage place had trash everywhere and the storage employee did not seem to care about my concerns. Let's get the niceties out of the way: Yes, Brenda is a great person and good to work with. That doesn't take away from the fact that there are some underlying issues with the business. These issues are not exclusive to this storage facility but I am consistent regardless of how nice a facility manager is. 1. I hate introductory rates and I hate it when a business won't tell you what they they are going to raise the rates $20 in 2 months. This especially annoys me when I tell them I am moving there because the previous place raised the rates after 6 months. I even offered to prepay and they flailed their arms and said it wasn't necessary. This is a perfectly legal practice because it is disclosed in the million words of contract that you sign at most places....not all. More on this later. Their prices are consistent with other chains but in my opinion the prices are too high after the introductory rate expires. 2. The 10x20 units are NOT 10x20. They are 10x18.5 at best. That means you are paying for 200 square feet and getting 185. What if you only got .9 of a gallon at the gas pump? They tell you this is normal but is is NOT. These are not 10x20....simple. I wonder if Department of weights and measures agrees with them. 3. The doors are not well maintained. They are difficult to open, the latch is rough. The doors are not well sealed at the top and tons of dust gets inside. 4. As with many chains they "require" you to have insurance. This is a scam and is not required, it is a way for them to get more money out of you. You can get around this if you have homeowners insurance but that doesn't help people that are having a tough time and don't own a home. Reader beware, if you care about what you are storing... insure it. Thankfully I am in a position to say "no" to all of this and walk away. I found a locally owned facility that doesn't play these games and I got on the list. Take my advice, be a good tenant, be prepared to set your account for auto-pay and find a locally owned facility. Lastly, I have to give credit where it is due. The people at the corporate office (and Brenda) are nice to work with and they don't lie. If you confront them about this stuff they are honest. You just have to know to ask. But again, I'm in this situation because they were not completely upfront in the beginning. I hold them partially accountable but at least they are not abrasive about it.

I love to go to securcare self storage the manager there is very friendly very loving lady it's very secure your stuff will never get broken into in the prices are great the manager she's the most friendliest person I've ever met in the whole wide world she's loving kind to the customers she's always out patrolling checking on storage making sure people aren't doing anything to break into someone else's storage I give her A10 she's great

Brenda was so awesome took the time to show my friend and I the units all sizes and she even asked what and how much we were storing to help us decide what size we needed the facility was keep really clean she was the best facility out of all the places we looked at most recommended in the area
