Blankets, Draperies, and Clothing:
Clean, hang and then store. Have blankets, draperies, and out of season clothing cleaned, then store them on a hanger in a wardrobe box, which can be purchased in the rental office.

Books:
Keep your library safe. Pack them flat, not standing on end (this may cause damage to the spines). Books are extremely heavy, so use caution to not pack too many in one box, or mix them with any fragile items.

Lawn Mowers, Weed Cutters and Yard Equipment:
Clean machines! Please drain gasoline and oil from Lawn Mowers, Weed Cutters and other equipment with small engines. Then, clean and store upright.

Mirrors & Pictures:
Fragile art item need special treatment. Large works should be stored in specially designed boxes. Smaller pictures can be wrapped in bubble wrap or packing paper and stored in boxes with clothing or linens.

Mattresses & Box Springs:
Cover and protect. Keep these items protected with especially designed plastic covers available for purchase in our rental office.

Furniture & Tables:
Disassemble and consolidate. Remove legs and disassemble tables and bookcases to conserve storage space. Wrap with furniture pads to protect against soil and scratches. Wrap the legs together with packing paper and tape the paper around the item.

Photos:
Keep your most precious memories safe. Old photographs tend to curl over time. To keep them flat, place them between two pieces of cardboard and tape the cardboard around them together. Please, do not store irreplaceable photos or negatives, which take up very little space. Instead, consider keeping them with you or in a safe deposit box.
